Almost all manufacturers have models they consider to be “good”, “better”, and “best.” Although the tag on the front of the equipment may prominently state the brand’s name, it is still very important to confirm that it carries the warranties and features that you want—and more importantly—that you’re paying for.
When receiving estimates, always ask that the equipment model number and applicable warranties and features be given to you in writing. This is especially important when you are reviewing prices from several dealers, to make sure that each company is bidding on exactly the product you have requested—and better allows you to compare “apples to apples.”
